Aurora Kruk is a first assistant art director specializing in concept illustration and hero art pieces for the Toronto film industry. In the past three years, she has designed and executed featured pieces for shows such as Guillermo Del Toro’s Oscar Award-winning Nightmare Alley and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the Emmy Award-winning What We Do in the Shadows (seasons 2, 3, and 4), and was responsible for nearly all of the commissioned artwork for the Emmy Award-nominated The Umbrella Academy (seasons 1, 2, and 3).
Born into a family of artists and entrepreneurs in the heart of downtown Toronto, Aurora’s intense interest in visual art began in early childhood, furthered by time spent traveling throughout Europe while her mother pursued a degree in fine arts. Aurora graduated at the top of her class from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration.
